It was an ‘Ace Day in Sandfield today, Saturday 14th June, with 4 Hole in Ones being reported today.
A real Ace Day in Sandfield.
But that really does not tell the real story on quite an amazing day of Pitch and Putt action.
Three of the Hole in Ones came from the same group with one player recording 2 of the Hole in Ones. Dessie McNern start his round with Aces on 1st and 3rd Holes. His brother, Mark, then finished the groups round off by getting an Ace himself on the 18th Hole.
We certainly think there has never been 3 Hole in Ones in a round, but would also think that a player getting 2 Hole in Ones in the same round is a first also. In addition Marks Hole in One on the 18th take his ace tally to 3 this season following previous holes in one on 1st and 14th Holes.
Well done to Dessie and Mark on their achievements.
If that was not enough the Hole in Ones continued when Ashton Dixon aced the 9th Hole. Well done to Ashton.
