Despite being one of the most difficult holes on the course Simon Kunding aces the 7th Hole and is the first hole in one on that hole since the 2023 season. Well done to Simon.

There must have been something in the water here at Sandfield Pitch and Putt this week! As July is turning out to be a a Hole in One Heaven, with 3 quick fire aces in the last few days.
Rachel Irwin started the hole in one heaven week on Saturday. Being the first player to ace the 16th Hole this season.
On Tuesday this was quickly followed up with two players getting Holes in One. First up on Tuesday was Tijs ven Eyjen. Visiting from Belgium he got his hole in one on the new 12th Hole with a classy shot. A shot that i was lucky enough to witness. This was quickly followed up when amazingly in the next group on the course Joanna McAdam got a Hole in One on the course favourite 14th Hole. Both players being the first to record Holes in One on these holes this season.

A Busy day on the Sandfield Pitch and Putt Leaderboard yesterday and here is the update for 17th August. We have a new low score of 5 under par 49, recorded by Manus Friel with 6 Birdies and 1 Bogey. He was part of a very competitive and low scoring 3-Ball along with John Friel posting 53 (1 Under Par) and Darragh Friel 57
Congratulations to Manus who now heads our Leaderboard.
Unrelated this was followed by a personal low score of 51 for Paul Whelan bettering his previous best of 53.
Here is our leaderboard update for 2nd August. We had our first Bogey free round recorded this week.
Finn Harkin posted a 4 under par 50 containing 4 birdies and no bogeys. This is our first bogey free round of the season, so congratulations to Finn. His 4 under par 50 puts him joint leader on our 2023 Leaderboard. Click here to view the Leaderboard.

Another a low scoring day at Sandfield Pitch and Putt yesterday. When we had two players posting a new low score for the 2023 season.
First up was Nicholas Wehrley, who posted a 4 under par 50 with 5 birdies and one bogie to go to the top of the leaderboard. Only to be tied later in the evening by Mick Mullin who also posted a card of 50 missing a birdie putt on 18. His card again had 5 birdies and one bogie.

We also had two more Holes in One recorded this week. Kieran Carr got an ace on the 6th Hole and Jack Doyle on the 18th.
It’s 7th heaven at Sandfield Pitch and Putt this season as Finin Maguire another 7 year old gets a Hole in One this time on the challenging 16th Hole. Well done Finin.

So it’s the 7 year old’s showing us all the way to go this season, but can you follow their super example and ace a hole at Sandfield.
On Saturday we has a new low score of 48 posted to end the month. Congratulations to Shaun Meehan who posted a 6 under Par 48 including 8 birdies to knock 3 shots off the previous best.
Still waiting for our first Magnificent 7 Under of 2022…
